Posted on 29 January 2012 | 12:35 pm The New Finney Gardens: Poor
The Finney Gardens is by far the worst pub I have ever visited - Fair do's our kids knocked over two glasses which broke and upon leaving clumsy Grandad did the third.... Even though we were on the verge of leaving we were told we would have to leave.... Now bare in mind that when my 6 year old b...
Posted on 7 January 2012 | 11:18 pm The Factory: Opening Night
The building on Bryan Street which serves as the new home of The Factory (formerly The Club, moved from Hillcrest Street) has had a bit of a chequered past. Posted on 5 September 2010 | 6:03 pm The Club: Excellent friendly gay venue
The Club holds a fairly comfortably spot as the most popular gay nightclub in the city. Posted on 29 April 2010 | 1:47 pm The Hollybush: Cosy live music venue
The Hollybush is your classic two-room pub. Most weekends, there are live bands playing in the lounge, which can get pretty crowded at times! However, if you really want a seat, you can hear the music fine from the bar, which is usually much easier to get a seat in on gig nights.
Posted on 29 April 2010 | 1:39 pm The Albion: Great local pub
This is one of those pubs that looks pretty average from the outside, and from the inside for that matter. It's big selling point is that it remains one of the few pubs in Hanley to have steadfastly refused to move with the times. It has old carpet, old seating, old bar...it looks like it hasn't ...
